INTRODUCING NEW HORIZONS

We are a friendly, caring and growing church with members in the Whittlesea and Kinglake areas north of Melbourne. New Horizons is a Pentecostal church affiliated with the Australian Christian Churches.  Our church is led by the Holy Spirit to reach out to all people with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, and to help them grow in their personal relationship with Him.

Whether you come to one of our church services on Sunday or attend a group fellowship during the week we trust that you will sense the presence of Jesus Christ. He is the One that we most want you to meet, for He can change your life, bring love to your home, and give you hope for the future. 

Our church name, "New Horizons", was given to us by the Lord many years ago. It speaks of our desire for people to experience a fresh future based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

- To reach the unsaved people of this area and beyond.

- To disciple them for Jesus Christ.

- To help them discover and exercise their God given gifts and talents.

- To release them into ministry as God opens doors.
 

What are we here for?  We believe that with God, and by working together as a team, we can and are making a difference in the area of Whittlesea and Kinglake and surrounding areas. We do this through practical involvement in our community, bringing the life and love of Jesus into people’s lives.

We are here to give people a strong spiritual home where they can be equipped and given the opportunity to serve God. We do this using clear and practical teaching from the Bible as a whole, and through practical opportunities to apply what has been learnt.

We are here to provide a clear sense of direction through leaders who work as a team and are accountable to each other and the code of conduct of the Assemblies of God in Australia. We embrace change as we aim to fulfil all the things God has called us to do.

We are also here to make a difference in the areas beyond us. We believe this is part of our commission from Jesus when He said that we should go into all the world and make disciples of all nations.

All in all, we are here to be a blessing both near and far as God has already and still continues to bless us. ( Matthew 5:13-16, 28:18-20)


What is important to us? At New Horizons church, we are seeking to know God and His character, using the Bible as our reference. We are fully committed to the whole Bible truth for preaching, teaching, Christian living and in all matters of life. (2 Timothy 3:16) We hold firmly to Jesus, our example, our Saviour and Lord, and we do all we can to be transformed into His likeness through the working of the Holy Spirit. ( 2 Corinthians 3:18, 1 Corinthians 14:26)
